The American Society of Mechanical Engineers, was founded in 1880 promoting the art, science and practice of mechanical and multidisciplinary engineering. We, the ASME Student Chapter at Stony Brook University, strive to help students develop themselves professionally, and to familiarize students with the engineering industry by providing opportunities of exposure to real world applications. We also strive to promote a productive and challenging environment through competitions, workshops, monthly meetings, and mentoring opportunities.
